The death of
Colin, Kenneth
M .c'GregorOccurred red in W ingham
Hospital on August 12th, after a
brief illness in hospital He had,
not been feeling well., for• some
time but a final' stroke hastened
the 'end,
Colin was one of the twelve
sons .born to the Alexander and
Grace MacGregor-, early pioneers
of Ashfield' along the ' lake 'shore
north of .Kintail " He was of a,
quiet, friendly .disposition, hay-
ing a host •'of :friends. ,,lie spent
his 'whole life in Ashfield'' with
the exception f� a number of;
:years in `Detroit Where he, fol
lowed' the occupation `of. a car-
penter. _
He is survived •- by his. wife,
the former . May Drennan,' and'
two daughters,. Mrs, Clark.Fin
layson .(Jean); and Mrs. Lead
et ' s a 2. ro . .. ser?,
Robert, at home, and ' a brother,
Ales of the Canadian. West and
Fred,: in Ashfield.
' To 'him belongs, the honor of.
establishing the cemetery board
of the Kintail -cemetery and of
which he was treasurer for per
pettal care.
The funeral was held on Thurs-'•
day .from Johnstone • Funeral
Home ' in `Lucknow; and the set'',
vice was "conducted by Rev; W
A. Henderson of Walkerton,• in
the' absence' of. his `pastor,, ,.Rev.
Neil MacConibie, 'Interment took
place in Kintail. cemetery where
a very large number 'of friends
