new displays:feature feature this year's
exhibition.
• At the start of ;the museum
year two, old fortress guns that -
have stood :inf`ront of the South-
ampton townhall for ' many
years, 'were '.donated to the muse
eum by the, town of Southamp-
ton. .The. guns• date from the per=
iod of the American, Revolution
•and; the war of 1812.

not be » displayed in the , museum,
until early in August; when it
is:hoped that a dedication:; ser-
vice:will be, held, as the colors
are presented 'to the• museum;.
• Another interesting display is
one that features eauipmerit
The . next ,addition to the
grounds bf the museum .was the
McKenzie log ' house ' from near
Holyrood in ,Kinloss Township,
which was built ' in the 1850's.
Transportation of the house from
Kinloss to the museum was view-
ed'by many, particularly in Port
Elgin; where;;difficulty was en'-
cotintered moving the building.'
