A well-known dentist of
Woodstock for many years and
formerly of. Lucknow; Dr. Rich-
ard L.; Treleaven, Passed away
at Woodstock. General Hospital

was in his' 59th year and had
been in ill health • for' the. past
year. , •
Born .at Dungannon, he was.
a..son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Alexander Treleaven. He resid-
ed in the Ripley district before.

•Royal College. of Dental Surg-
eons in: 1924. 'He practiced. den-
tistry at. Lucknow before -going
'to Woodstock in 1941 and had
been in practice. there since then.

also .in horses .and his entries at
horse shows and jumping coni=
petitions won many' prizesdui- I
ing the..years. • He was also an I
ardent hunter and fisherman
He was• a member : ° of Wood -1
stock Rotary ;Club which he join-
ed• in 1942. He was a Member of:
Lucknow Masonic Lodge, and
Oxford .Chapter,, Royal Arch Ma
sons. He was a former member '
anda past chairman of Wood-
stock : Board Of Education. He
was a member of Chahners 1ln-
Red , Church • and" -a past member �.
of the Board' of :.Stewards_ He
was president of , the Oxford Rid-
ing and. Driving Club, and was a
member of the 'London - Hunt
Kennels. While here,. Lane, as
he : was . fainiliarly known, was
a.,inoving. force.' in organizing the
pipe band,
His wife; the farmer, Ena R.
Switzer of Holyrood, .predeceas-
ed hirn in 1948 and surviving
are one daughter,' Mrs. Mark
Gasparatto °(Patricia)' Wood
stock; and, one son, Richard'. L., I
Toronto; one granddaughter, De-
borah Gasparatto; ' one sister,.)
Mrs. Rhetta Aiken, Owen Sound
and: Dr C. L. ' Treleaven, New
York.
The ,,funeral service was held
on '-Wednesday . in : Woodstock
with temporary entombment in
Woodstock Mausoleum.

Kincardine ' Orange ,Lodge is
the oldest lodge in Bruce County
dating, back ;• one hundred . and
ten years. The Members of . this
' lodge were handicapped for a
number of years in not having
•a • regular hall as a meeting
place.. They. • overean & that dif-
ficulty bypurchasing an unused
building which • was formerly a
schoolhouse.' and have given it a
thorough renovating which • has
made it one , of the finest lodge
rooms in • Bruce County. They
have, also increased their mem
�bership.
