muffins an d dressing.. for' fowl

baked there ' are. , so many
things you can • . do with ' good

with applesauce is to spread it
between layers of fre i ginger-
bread,' toped • ,with . whipped'
cream. •Or my „old, favourite —'
bake gingerbread lita loaf pan.
When it ;is done,- spread twith.
sweetened .applesauce, thenwith.
thick meringue: Bake until mer-
ingue is setand. turning a nice
`tan'. Serve at once.
Applesauce, ' either hot or cold,
is a•• fine accompaniment for
pork or poultry. And ' try it
sometime in a jellied salad: Use
about 1 cup less liquid to make
