W.M.S. SECTIONAL RALLY.
HELD LAST WEEK AT BERVIE
The thirtieth annual sectional
rally of South . Bruce Women's
Missionary Society was held last.
Monday, October twenty-six in
Bervie United. Church. There
•were about one hundred' and.
forty delegates present.
The meeting was in charge of
Mrs. Oliver MacCliarles of Rip-
ley with Mrs. .0, W. Sach pf
Bervie at the organ,

Mrs. Graham Lavery of
carcline conducted a splendid
worship service, basing her re-
marks on the thirteenth chapter
of first. Corinthians, — "faith,
hope and love." •
••Mrs. Stewart Farrell of Clarke
replied to words of welcome by
Mrs. Percy Griffith of Bervie.
The financial_report was given
by Mrs. J. D. MacKay, Kincar-
dine, while • Mrs. Earl Rushton
of Paisley presented the Liter-
ature which is available to an
age group's.
Music was provided by a quar-
tet from Ripley, Mf. Lohnes,
Mrs. Genunel, Mrs. Martyn and
Mrs.* • Hairis, accompanied by
Miss Beth lVfacTavish. •

Shills.' 'They illustrated their
discussion with appropriate Af-
rican costumes and a fine ,eol-
lection of articles from Africa.
The speaker of the _evening,
Mrs.:. Milroy from Underwood,
was •introduced by .Mrs. William.
Arnold 'of Bervie. She gave an'
inspiring messageon Christian
living • and highlights of •her life;
as a missionary and. • nurse
Labrador. • ,
The offering was dedicated by
Mrs. Nelson ,Eskrick, Zion. A

day. School Room with 32 girls
and boys present. • After the
opening hymn and, the' motto. in
unison, the scripture was read
• by Elizabeth t'ollock. A prayer
• *as given by Barbara Humph-
• rey and. Arletta Pollock led in
the • reading of the 23 • Psalm.
• Peggy McDonald gave a piano
.solo. The MissiOnary Story was
given by Mrs. William Porteous
as • guest • speaker. Elizabeth Pol-
lock thanked 'Mrs. Porteous and
Donnie Johnston gave a prayer.
The meeting closed with the
singing. of • a hymn and the

meeting. All were, in costume. •

Each: of the girls met "the
:Queen" amid much squealing
and laughing. Ghost stories and
songs -were.' enjoyed around. •a

with Taps. Twenty-three Guides
attended the party. ' •
