known possessed a ` quiet, dike
able disposition, and he made
many 'friends' : who mourn his;
passing.' He was a' great lover
•lof,`.flowers and cultivating his
garden, was his main. hobby. He
r'kas' alsofond of 'sports.. -He was
a member of the Canadian Le-
gion; St, •Paul's United church
and • a ,prominent Mason. •
In October of last year the de=
ceased married Miss Olive Ter -
riff of Whitechuirah, who .'' sur-
vives.' He • also ` leaves an only
brother, Eben H. Boss `of ,Lake-
side, ' California. • .
The funeral was : at Walkerton
on, Thursday. ; '
CHARLES T. BOSS
Mr.. Charles Talbut Boss, one
of Walkerton's well-known citi-
zens, ',passed away at Westmini-
ster Hospital in London on Tues-
day morning., of last week. Mr.
Boss was taken ill some two
months ago, and '.on May 25th
was removed to the Westminister
Hospital for treatment by specia-
lists. •
He enlisted in Canada's •'active
army in World War TI 'and after
his return frown • overseas, accept-
ed a, position with the Ontario
Liquor Control Board at their
dispensary here, a, post which he 1
held until his final illness. '
