OBITUARY
MRS..WM ..E 11iePHERSON
On May 24th, 1959 'the' death
occurred at St: Helens of Mrs.
William E. McPherson, whose
maiden name was 'Isabella.:Webb,
daughter of JahnWebb and' Sara
'Cumming:: She was in her :ninety
first year,and the last Member
of the family of • four. boys and.
four girls. William. ,John. ,Walter,
George, ••Margaret,, .Sara,: Rebecca.
and Isabella. Sara and Rebecca
succumbed: to ' diphtheria while
in their teens.
On February 6th, • '1895, ' she
married William : MacPherson,
and for nearly thirty years. re-
sided ontheir farm, ear. St, Hel-
ens'. -now occupied by a son Gor-
don. Then they retired to live
in Luoknow, For the last few
' years she ./11.4s lived • with • her
daughter, Mrs. William Rather -
lord. Her ' husband predeceased
her 'fourteen.' years ago,
Mrs, McPherson was a member
of Lucknow Presbyterian'Cli'urch
and the• service' held' in Johnston's
Funeral Home was conducted by
Rev: McClean, with interment in
Greenhill. Cemetery: ' Six grand-
sons,.
grand-sons,• Hugh, Grant ; and . ` John
Rutherford, Bill McPherson,
Doug Snell and Tom Wade acted
as pallbearers. .
Three sons • and one • daughter
survive Ewart of 'Kinloss, Gor-
don, Ross and Ethel (Mrs. Wm.
Rutherf(rd). of West Wawanosh.

Geiger, has a mighty. sore looking
mouth 'as a .result of two bouts
with a swing ,seat; /
The first crack' loosened •some
teeth, and cut the inside of her
mouth. But the climax came on
Thursday;. .when .Ann, her mouth
still sore and •swollen wasagain
struck by the swing seat.
As• a ,result she had to have,
eleven „stitches in the inside of
the lower lip,.. and" lost two• teeth
as well,.'..

local papers ,in Bruce and let
".youknow" of our annual .picnic.
It is 'held •'in Stanley Park on
the last Wednesady `in July, :'and •
we •invite you who contemplate
visiting our beautiful • city this
summer to arrange to; meet wit} :
us' and join the. other Bruce
County . folk at our picnic in
?Stanley, Park under the trees • on
that : July afternoon. We .would
,also like to ask any: of your'read-
ers, 'when you are writing to re-;
latives or friends in Be., if you
think that they. de not attend the:
picnic, .:to send ' us ' their names
and : addresses and we will send
thein a special invitation to come
out and meet us.
• ': Our Association,: that used to
number ' .in the five hundreds,,
has 'been depleted by Father
Time, and we like . to •encourage '
new people :to attend, especially
younger' people, so that ' we may

Bruce County,, in the forefront of •
