JOHNSTONE There passed away ' in the Wingham ' General' Hospital on Tuesday night, May:1'9th, James Johnstone,. in' his 83rd year. One of a family of eleven, he was • born on March 9th, 1877 in Ashfield ToWn.ship,• near Lanes, and was a son of James `Sohn 'stone and Mary ' Ann Marshall,' He was iria.rried to Clara•Gates of Ripley on June lst, 1910 and' shortly afterwards moved to Lucknow 'where he was •'in' .they coal. W and livestock shipping busi- ness; On November 13th, 1914 :Mr. Johnstone was severely burned and left ' with badly , crippled hands. In spite of this, he re „covered'well enot411, to "parry on and make ' his own livlihood.
