jimmy' is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Maxwell?. Siegner, farmers
in. the Poole district near .Strat-
ford`,' who along with the. grand-
parents of the :boy, Mr and Mrs,
James 'Hart of Hampstead, were
visiting ` for a short while' with.
Rev: and. Mrs, John Watt.
Mr. arid . Mrs. George Thomp-
son and six-year-old ,Charles
Thompson of . Singhampton were•
also visiting at the Watt, home
and little* Jimmy and Charles
were innocently playing ,on the
Watt lawn located directly across;
from '• the United •• `Church in.

Jimmy was the. only child of
'Mr.,' and Mrs :Siegner. His *grand
mother, Mrs: Hart, .was a 'distant•
relative of' the Watts •and?follow` .
�ing a visit at Wingham they de-
cided they would call for' a short
while at. the 'Watt home. They
had been there'' only about .a half
hour when the. tragedy occurred.

formation of a new area. The lat-
ter 'clause` rendered, the petition
invalid,' and a second petition is
necessary 'asking only for with-
drawal. When such: is. approved
by Council and the.,Department
of Education,, :the, school sections
concerned•may then proceed with
what ever course is favored by
the ratepayers concerned.

Injured In Railway.Crassing Crash
Willian5 R. Hamilton, age 76,'
of.• the -Second Concession of Hu-
ion Township, died in Wingham
General Hospital 'early. Saturday
morning as .a. result •of injuries
received in a train -truck colli-
sion- near Lucknow in' mid -after-
noon on Friday.
The 'accident occurred at the.
railway' crossing on • the - Luck-
now-Holyrood 'road. The cross-
ing' is situated between Lucknow.
,and . the .second Concession of.
Kinloss. •
Mr. Hamilton was proceeding
southerly. toward Lucknow when
struck 'by the CNR. afternoon'
.mixed train which was ;proceed-
proceed-
ing from Lucknow to. Ripley. The
force :of the impact crushed the
front.' of the . Hamilton pick-up
truck, turning it around corn=
pietely on the road until it faced
a northerly direction A fence
'post on ' the north-west side of.
the track was snapped off ,by the
revolving ' ;truck. Damage , • was
done to the. diesel engine on the
train. •.
• Mr. Hamilton was rushed by
Lucknow .Ambulance to Wing -
ham :Hospital in an unconscious
state 'with'. little hope held for
hisrecovery:, He died without
rallying about ten hours later. He
had suffered severe head and in-
ternal injuries with multiple
fractures of the arins' and shoul-
ders,
