given and discussed, Demonstra-
tions were given by the leader

measuring liquid and dry ingred=
.ients. Each . member . paid a ,50c
fee to go. towards . the expenses.
Home assignments • were given
which closed the . meeting.
The 2nd meeting • was .:held on
4pril 11th. at Mrs. Murray's
home.. The.4 1 Pledge. was `re-
peated and 9 members. answered

Murray. demonstrated the receip

The . 23rd annual meeting of
Bruce' Presbyterial Woman's Mis-
sionary Society' was ' held on
Wednesday, April' ' 8th in St.
Paul's United Church,. Walkerton.

from. Lucknow attended. Guest
sPeakers were • Miss Barton,. edi-.
tor of Missionary Monthly maga-
zine; Miss A McKim, editor of
World Friends and Miss Marjorie
Robson, 'missionary nurse on fur-
lough from India. Mrs, P. Hoag
and Mrs. • V.. Hunter conducted
the `In .,Memoriam' •service. At
the 'conclusion of the ' morning
session a delicious 'dinner • was
served • in the %Sunday'. School.

The April meeting of the Rip-'
ley .Tunior Farmers and Junior
Institute' was held on WedneS-
day evening in' 'the Ripley :Dis
trict High Sohool*,; * a •
The boys' meeting was pre-
sided over by :the president,
Hugh. Lane and the secretary
Ron Irwin, with an attendance
sof'. eighteen. Several new mem-
bers attended.
A number of 'items of business
were attended to, previous to
the joint meeting, w .•
The girls' meeting was presid-
sed over "by, Annetta Forster and.
Barbara Mu.rray.:
The Ode was sung' and :the
Mary. Stewart. Collect- repeated
in. unison • ' The'roll call., "A fav-
o'urite'Handicraft" was answered

girls 'introd'u'ced themselves, since
several new girls attended.
The mernbership fee for this
year . has. been !raised` to seventy-
five cents. The membership fees
must,, be forwarded to Toronto'by
May 1st, 1959. •
