A former resident of Lucknow,
in, • the person .-of ,Alice Carolyn
Finlay, passed away in the Bran
-
sten Hospital, Willowdale on•
Friday, March 20 in her seventy
ninth year.
Miss Finlay wasborn. in 1880,
near. Port Alibert, on a farm on
the Fourth. Concession of . Ash-
field,
and' was • the. eldest daugh-
ter of Robert : Henry and Rebbec-
ca Finlay, , a , pioneer family of
that community. When the fath-

small family. moved to Luckno*
and .resided in the north part of
'the ' village. Early ; in the 1900's

Miss . Finlay moved'. to Toronto,.
where she has been a respected
resident ever since. She resided

to her death,; she fell on the ice

hip' She was taken to Branston
