Two buildings in ' ,Lucknow
came crashing in on ;Monday af-
ternoon with the : weight of snow
that• 'was on thhem.Fortunately
no one was injured ' although

close call,
The .men were removing now
from the roof. of the warehouse•
located' behind` their store when
it suddenly collapsed., .Donald
MacKinnon fell through with the
roof and was • buried up to his
arms in snow. He had to be shoe- ,.

In 'this regard The ' Chesley
Enterprise carried the following
article in part :last week: .
"Possibly. for the first time in
history, two :Bruce county towns
have taken :action to demand
further• study before:' the• Bruce
County Council proceeds with
one of its projects.
"Chesley Council, at its meet-
ing Monday night, supported 'a
resolution by the Wiarton Coun-
cil, asking the Ontario Municipa
Board to demand further study
before granting approval to
Bruce County, Council to build
an addition to the County 'Mime
at Walkerton that' may cost as
much as a' million dollars.
•"The resolution • of Wiarton
Council' said that the tax rate of
Bruce County has been• increas
ing 'at all • alarming rate', that
the move. to spend $900,000 or
more on ,a`' new County Home
:Was opposed by 14 of'.the county
Councillors; and that the Muni-
cipal .Board ask that, the County
Council give further considera-
tion to `such a 'heavy expenditure'
that would further increase the
county rate. • •
"After a' full discussion, . Cour-
cillers Loucks and Rier : moved
that Wiarton resolution „be sup-
ported, and .the motion carried:"
The Wiarton resolution is be-
ing submitted to all municipali-
ties ' in truce,' it appears, for their
endorsement or otherwise. Cop-
ies of the ,.resolution have.. been
received ,.by. Lucknow.: and

en they had not been' dealt with..
