JAMES L. ;PERDUE, '
The :'death of James Living
stone Perdue, a former .re'sident
.of. Lucknow, occurred ,suddenly
• at..his home • at Wolseley:. Sask.;
on' December 18th. He.. was 76.. •
• He 'had been in his usual good
health, and had been back
"home"' at Centennial' tithe.. .•
Mr. . Perdue was .born at:'Ciin-
ton on February' .14th, :1882, the
son of Mr. 'and .Mrs. Caesar Per-'
due, ,who dater • moved ' to" the
Luckfow .Community.
Fames went' west in 1903 and
settled in .the Peebles district, On
December 31st;,. 1913; he married
Lillian Alberta Patterson of De-
troit, ,and they resided on the
.faun at Peebles until 1948 when
they retired.to Wolseley Mr, Per-
.: due was a `public spirited citi-
zen• and served on :the--board.of`
numerous 'organizations,.•
'Besides 'his• wife he is survived
by two sons. ,Also survheing, are
twa., sisters, Mrs. Joseph',;(May)
Gaunt of 11,R.,1. Lucknow;..and
, Mrs. Emrna Morris of P,ittsbti"rgh.

deceased him in ;.1942. .
The largely attended funeral
service was held in St. James.
United Church, on. 'December 20,
with 'interment in Wolseley ce-
n etery. .
