fense is doing about this? Noth-
ing.. Nobody Chas' •been'. around
with lanterns, hot coffee or `em
ergency sandwiches. Nobody has
called ito tell me why the lights'

to . get, the power • on. In fact,: a
few minutes. agO,-1 Called. Ottawa
and asked for the head of Civil

ty rude ones. Of 'course it was

do you ' think he •cared. that an
entire community sits in black-

freezes? .
If . Civil Defense can't handle
a, little thing like a thunderstorm,
Whit is it going to do when the
,ballistic missiles start 'thudding
'around. No conceivable number
