MRS.. JOHN HENDERSON
Mary. Edith MacGregor, beloved,`
wife of • John 'Wesley, Henderson,
•Boundary West, passed ' away in
Goderich Hospital on Wednes-
day,. March 9th, where she had
been a• patient since suffering a
very severe stroke. She was 70
years of age. •
Mrs: Henderson *asa' daugh-
ter . of James MacGregor— :and
Catherine MacMillan of ' Kinloss
Township, where :she was born
on July 24th, 1889, and had
spent her lifetime: "'in this com-
•munity ...Where 'she made: a host
of friends by her friendly, and
pleasant personality. Miss, Mac-
Gregor did dressmaking ' above
what was then the Bank of
Hamilton, during,' J. A. Glennie's
managership. In 1917 she was
married' at •ILangside to her 'now:
bereft husband. '

instantly while waiting for medi-
cal. attention last Friday after-
noon. Their only family, two'
daughters, immediately .took.. a
plane there 'returning. the : same
day. They are . Mrs. Leslie (Lor-
•raine) Burbage, I arnilton and,
Mrs.:Leonard (Lois) Stidolph,
Willowdale and two grandchild-
ren.. Also there are three broth-
ers, Charles •and Wilfred • of
W inghahi and Gordon ' of 'Ash-
field. The funeral was held this
Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Willowdale
United ' Church. Assisti'n'g with •

building at the rear. of the store's
showroom.

occurred in the showroom which,
like .. the' • warehouse, was filled
• with, • new .1960, stock of furni-
ture and appliances.

Mr. and Mrs Johnstone • have
three children, James 10, Rob-

the parents first holiday , with-
out their children. . They, were
in charge of a housekeeper and
Don's'. father. Late Friday night
Russ and the two older 'boys,
Jim and. Bob, returned to Luck -
now with Bill Johnstone 'and
Jack Treleaven, : who • went: to
Kitchener . on . learning of • the
fire • '
Russ. later: suffered chills,and
a' reaction, from the shock. f ` the

was :a mass of flaanes, firemen. •

Receipts• for the 'day's• business,
the amount of which was not
disclosed, :Were removed in a
drawer taken from 'the. cash re-
gister in, the' store. Valuable re
cords were• "saved. ...
The `gutted warehouse : was of
concrete block construction, and
the apartment 'above it .'chiefly' of
plywood and asbestos siding,,,.

The crackling of the flames was

which were believed to come
