G. Mur- doch occurred in ,Toronto on Monday, March 7th, within five. days of. her 89th birthday.. She was •:born in Luckliow oil March 12th, 1871 and lived here for close to sixty' years; when she was.:a beloved—'resident, and has always been kindly remember- ed by those who knew her.' ' Mrs. Murdoch moved to Tor- onto in 1929, the year after her youngest .son Alan had died. in. February 'df '1928at the age of 14 due to a head injury received in a skating accident on the Nine. Mile River,• near the main street. .Mrs. ,Murdoch had been left a widow. in 1915 by : the , sudden death . of her husband, one of • Lucknow's prominent mer, chants, 'who .had . been in the 'dry goods ibusiness here, since •moving• to • the Village 'from Lochalshwhere he .Was born and.
