MISS BELLE McKILLOP
The death 'of Miss Belle Mc
• Killop `..occurred in . St. Thomas
General• Hospital 'on the morning
of. February, " 27th. in ''!her 89th
year: The deceased had always
enjoyed. remarkably '• good. health
• until about . two weeks previous
to her "death when she : suffered
a `very .severe stroke from which
she . never rallied. + ,
Miss McKillop was.. the last
Surviving member of a 'family. of
six girls ; and one (boy' born to
Neil McKillop' and Mary Mac-,
Intyre Lawrence Station, Elgin,•
County.
She had moved with 1rerfam-
ily it :while quite young to St-
Thomas where shehad resided
the rest of ,her life
She was ;a "lifelong member of
St. Andrews Presbyterian Church
and was always .'very active in
church and social, work,. and
where she will be long remem-
bered :for. her (kindness and gen-
erosity.

Mrs. Smith—was the . former

nosh. She was one ' of a family'
of ninechildren bor :to Thomas
Begley' and. Sarah Smith, • who
farmed in West Wawanosh, east
of Dungannon. • Mrs, Smith's
death is the second ,break in the
Begley family, - A sister Lela
, predeceased. •her 16' Years.' ago.
The funeral" service vvas ' held
on Tuesday at the McLennan
Funeral Home in .Ripley, con-
ducted by Rev. Neil McCombie
of Ripley Presbyterian Church.
Interment was in Ripley Ceme-:
tery.
She is survived . by her hus

France with, the 18th Battalion.

He was of a cheerful disposi,
tion' and. was well :known for his:
musical ` talent,; :having played
the violin at many social* gath
•erings in this 'district.
He leaves to mourn` four. • •bro-
thers' and three sisters. They are:
