Carpeneto occurred at 'St.. Jos-:
(eph's Hospital, Sarnia, `on Sun-
day, February 14th,"at the age of
47, He ' had •been hospitalizeel.
since mid October..
Dr.. Carpeneto. , practiced In
Lucknow: for . a .time about • two,
decades .ago, 'as• assistant to Dr.
°W.. V.• Johnston, and: then 'took
over his 'own practice in Ripley,
prior to: going ' to Sarnia in 1947.
Dr. Carpeneto succeeded . Dr.
D. R. Finlayson; in Ripley and
later sold the, practise to Dr.
Tyndall.. '
Dr, .Carpeneto, was . chief of
staff of St. Joseph's Hospital at
his death and was : a° former
member and chairman of. Sarnia
Separate iSchool Board. •
The , •doctor, was a' member of
Sarnia:•Kiwanis club, Knights of
Columbus, Holy , Name Society,•
