' • •services., , during'the past decades ' Ten years ago the Couicil con- sisted of 33 rneinbrs. Today. there are •37 members, with the townships of Amabel, Huron. and Kincardine and the town of Kin- cardine having reached the pop- ulation figure to: appoint deputy. reevesin the; last 10 years. At the June session of 1951 a new* office of 'County Assessor was approved,: and the following year the large'task of reassessing the '. entire . •County, was. started, with the; result the County Equalized Assessment now stands at'$51,387,233, asagati'nst $32,343,-. 176 in `1:95.0, • *After = some consideration' 1955,• a Bruce County Museum. was established in Southampton.. In ,1956,• contracts •were let for the Registry (Mice' and for the renovation of. the Court .
