OBITUARY
JAMES BARNBY •
James Barnby, one of Ash=
field Township's: oldest, residents
and one whowas held .in the
' highest esteem, died in Harnik,
ton on Christmas ..Day. " in his.

Mr. Barnby spent the winters
in Hamilton at the home ' of his
son, Dr. Alex Barnby, and re
urned• each summer,to ;his.. Ash-
field farm. ` . ' •
The son of 'Mr.• and:Mrs, John
Barnby, James was born in
Ashfield Township on April 29,''
1866, and• farmed: in the Town-.
ship ' all his life.
On November: 30th, ..1887, •he
married Georgina' MacKenzie of
. Ashfield, who predeceased him
many ''.years, ago.. A. daughter,
Bessie Barnby •died• in 1946.
