'Under the new teletype selling:

the '.machine ,"no sale" if there
is not a buyer at their lowest•,
asking price. ;As a ,result of using
this privilege there ` has been on
a 'couple of days hogs.. offered
for sale after •four o'clock that
did not receive the required price;
• These hogs would not be into
plants in time to•. be slaughteredl.
that day and if were bought
would have • to 'be carried .'over

the Assembly. Yards, where they;
are watered.: •
• Some , transporters-: are taking.
hogs back home if they 'are 'not
sold at the Assembly •Yard which
;requires more handling and de,
lay before being offered for sale.
There is no need for this as they
would have the first opportunity,'
to transport these hogs .when sold
the nect morning.
The buyers are not• so 'keen
when the late delivered hogs are
riot . goingto be in their plants
for' that days kill. The price re-
ceived the next day has not been
lower than the last asking price
and many have sold for 25c and
50c
