Buried In Greenhill
Many friends here were shock,
ed and saddened to. learn of the
death of Wilfred Murdoch of` To-
ronto, and a forrner. resident 'of
Lucknow. He passed away in .St,:
Joseph's Hospital, • Toronto,, ;on
Thursday, May` 25th, soon after
his; admittance. Wilf had 'a heart
condition, and had, not . enjoyed.

was 55. f•
A son of the late J. G. Murdoeh
and Emily Jane ' Peart, Wilfred
was born and: raised in Lucknow.
His _father died suddenly in 1915
'and a brother 'Alan, 'age 14, died
in 1928' of head injuries -,received
in a, fall while skating on the
Nine Mile. River.
In 1929 Mrs. Murdoch, Wilfred
and Lovell ' moved to 'Toronto,
where they had since resided.•
Mrs.' Murdoch died in March of
last .year at an advanced age and.
Was ,buried in the, family plot,
in Greenhill Cemet r.ywhere

Wilfred was buried on Saturday.
The funeral. service here .was
held at. the `MacKenzie Memorial
'Chapel, conducted by. Rev H; W.
Strapp of Lucknow United

Wilfred is survived by •his wife;

rie;. two daughters, Mrs..' Tim Ho-
gan (Gar15'' and Karen of Toronto
,a . 'brother; Lovell Murdoch of
Toronto and, Mrs. J A..,' Macklin.
of Agincourt who' isg considered
as a sister. Mrs. Macklin is ' the
former 'Jean Cameron and . was
raised in the Murdoch home from
infancy' following the :death of
her mother.; There is also , one
