Without fuss or fanfare, arti.,
ficial ice was made available to
Lucknow. 'skaters. for the' first
time . on Thursday evening, No-
,'vember 29th. ,
A large crowd of skaters took
advantages of a good sheetof ice
which rink manager Floyd Milne
had produced, , and .there . have
been few idle periods at the
arena .since then. •
Minor .hockey took up, all
Saturday morning and . big
crowds skated on, Saturday af-
ternoon, and 'evening and .Sun-
day afternoon, •In spite of .con-,
tinued abormaltly high- temp-
eratures the • ice .• stood 'up real
well, ' showing only slight signs
of dampness ,on Saturday after-
noon at thesouth side..
Season's skating tickets are
proving . more popular than ''in
•previous years, abut :do not apply
to Sunday skating, Advance' sale
tickets at ' regular rates is be-
