On October 22nd the residents
off ' our fair village are (being;
asked to. approve or reject by
secret ballot, two forms of li-
quor outlets. We, of the Vote
No •' .Committee have no hesita
tion in asking each voter' to re-
ject both of these outlets, Be
In The Know •and TOTE NO.
In this dollar conscious day,
we are apt to :forget that some
matters can only be truly mea-
sured in the light ;of their moral
and spiritual values. The liquor
question is undoubtedly one .of.
these. It: • is well:known that ;the
downfall • of. many people can
be , attributed to the 'Use of li-'
quor. One person in seventeen,
who drink alcoholic !beverages,
becomes an alcoholic. and. three
more become. 'excessive drink-
ers. 8.0% of.' our • broken `•homes.
is definitely attributed 'to al. -
Every
l=Every. one of us can 'call . to
mind some 'person, 'who' because
of his addiction to liquor has
failed to ` attain his full:poten-
tial either as • a person or a
responsible citizen..Are we then,.
to ' accept the responsibilityof
making liquor easier to get in
Lucknow and in this Way risk

son? The answer can 'only be
