S. Was -held in the school room

afternoon September lOth. The
President Mrs. Fraser MacKin-
non •welcomed the members and
conducted • aliening de►vc tions.
Mrs, Philip Steer `accompanied
by Mrs. A. Hughes,.. sang a solo
and Mrs. Ted Collyer read the
Scripture ' selection Miss Mary
MacLeod as guest -speaker gave
a talk emphasizing the, power
of prayer -and the:inipertance. of.
divine guidance in life Those
unable for various reasons to
attend regular meetings ,could
fill an important, role in the
!missionary. program of the , chur-
ch, She was thanked and pre-
sented with a gift Readings
were given by Mrs. Gila Ham
ilton. and Mrs. Evan Keith. and
Mrs. DouglasGrahamgave a,
resume of the,
work carried on
by the church in foreign and
Ihome mission work especially
the part for '• which the W.M.S..
is responsible, She read excerpts.
from , various, letters, tenting, of
the work. and needs in Formosa,.

THE • KANGAROO, the largestof the ,.

MM. G. Kirkland reported on
the supply work 'and read 'a list
ofarticles of used clothing that
had' been , sent •in this bale.
Another bale ,of new clothing for•
babies and .children . is ready to,
be ' sent. It was decided .to . sell
cards , and christni,as' needs` to
provide money .for the supply
work. The treasurer gave a re -
'part on the !funds and the rneet.

prayer. after which 'lunch, was
