ishioners, who regret their pend,

At the first of, the month the
Lucknow Branch of Silverwood
Dairies placed . a huge van in
operation for transporting,' butter,
eggs and cream. It •is the only.
truck of: its type presently. oper-
ated 'by• the .• Silverwood Wherry '
zation, according to Wm. Wherry.
manager of the local plant.
The : vehicle, of Ford manu-
facture, was obtained through,
Montgomery Motors. ' • '
• It is a refrigerated van, ,22
feet by 7 feet, with a twelve /ton
capacity. The driver is Jin/Wi1-

The bi truck is being..utilized

to transport, butter and eggs. to
Toronto and butter to Chatham,
Windsor and' Sarnia.
Returning it will bring cream
from all four. cities for the'man-
ufacture of. butter .at, the local
creamery. '
The refrigeration facilities . will
eliminate much of the night and
Sunday work previously invol-
ved in these operations.
The truck can be unloaded in
the.mor+ning and loaded during
the day ,for an early, morning
trip the .next day: Upon return
late, that day the refrigeration
system permits the load being
left on 'the truck Overnight. •

will replace Treleaven's Mill,
laid waste, by fire ' two "weeks

been moving quickly to assess

Ile has visited several com-
paratively new . 'mills at various
points -in the province to study
the merits of the various opera-
tions. Jack's. replacement plans,
would include pelleting. •equip..

the replacement plans, work, will
he started shortly with hopes of
being in operation by Christmas.,,
The Treleaven. Mill had been
supplying some large ‘broiler

are being supplied from other

Mrs. • Harvey Webster is `a Pa-

result ,of an ankle. fracture which'
she suffered last Thursday Mor-
ning. •

to work 'when she tripped oil the
Sidewalk on 'Inglis .St.; near`
George Tif f in's residence. She
walked to • the doctor's Office, ands".

seem to be bothering her much,

fracture, Because of its lecation,

will have to depend on crutches
