Belle was a daughter of Samuel,
Robertson :and Jessie Clark , and
is the 'last of the family. She was;.
born •. in Lucknow on Septemiber
,.18th, .18815, and. "spent her lifetime`
here, where she was held in high
esteem. ,
Her father came to Lucknow in
1868.' to start a tannery ,,business
which he ` operated on Stauffer
St. for many years.
Be11e, ' as she was familiarly

empiloyed in Connell's' dry --goods
store and millinery, ' andlater
established ' her own millinery
business; which, slae continued to
conduct until • ,recent years when;
failing health decided her to re

was a faithful and punctual mem-

the United Church choir, as well
as. being actively interested ; in

20th. He was the second eldest
son of the late , SEM. and Edith

barn to do chores and when he
had 'not come in for, dinner, his
wife went to the ibarn to see
