strong winds,°, was a Serious.
threat to the' , buildings on the
farm of Carl. Riegling, ninth
concession of Ashfield 21/2 miles
west of the Lucknow-Dungannon
road, last, Thursday ;afternoon.
A fire of 'brush, trees, fence
posts, etc., that. wasbeing. bull-
dozed . and cleaned up 'by ' the
owner 'brecamne • ignited and mad e
a dangerous ablaze, when it .,got
going. The farm is the fernier
Cecil • Johnston place, 'on the
west side of • the sideroad, just
off 'the ninth concession. The
house is presently tenanted by
Ormand Heffernan.
