Christmas We have all heard the popular slogan "Let us' put Christ back Christmas". This slogan I feel is inaccurate. Ever since that night two thousand years ago, when the Word became flesh, Christ has al-, ways. been and always will be in Christmas. The ones to be put back into Christmas are those who go under the name •of '_ How.Many of us observe the birth of ..the Saviour without a thought given to whose birthday we are celebrating? Who • among us would plan a birthday party without inviting the celebrant? No one of course. Yet, how many celebrate Christ's • birthday with- out paying homage to the Babe of Bethlehem? Who would think of going to the home of someone who was celebratinga birthday and doing•everything be could to insult the honoured guest? ,Yet many of. us do just that. Christ- mas is not a time for drinking and gorging. Cluistinas is a Holy Day, not a worldly holiday. Christ - Ms is notthe birthday of Santa Claus'. It is the birthday of otir Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. • Chrisbnas. is a time of kneeling — kneeling in adoration that we my.rise to nobler heights of anitlian living in love, goodness and power. May God challenge us through the incarnated Christ to follow 'his unselfish•extunple of service in the home, at wOrk and at /PlaY. May Christ be born anew in us, not only to save our own lilies from destruction but ,also that others might be saved through • This is our ,'prayer for YOU this (Iristmas Day.. ,. Rev. H., D.
