The 'ChristmasDance 'of Luck- now District High. School was held this past Friday night, and from. all reports it seems to : have been quite successful. ' Many of the students turned out for this dance which is the second largest dance •of :the school year nextto the Spring PrOm. . Perhaps the success of this dance should be forwarded . to the Grade Eleven Students who Man- aged" the ''Dance and decorated for the occasion. The., appropriate theme "Silver Bells," was. well carried out, and the "decorators" should be " highly ' praised for . the great job they did. ' . • On entering the school one saw a : beautifully , decorated tree ad- orned with bright bine lights, end tinsel. Dancing was to . Carruth- ers' Orchestra under a huge "Sil- ver Bell". which was 'hung+ from the ceiling , aft, the gymnasium, . Small- er *but similar 'bells were also placed throughout the gym, and blue streamers added ' to the beauty of ' the "Dance Hall." .A great deal of work went into this Dance but, the:'teeults which -were e achieved added . up for the, long hours :of preparation. Also on Tuesday a Christmas Assembly ' was held. Each, grade presented .. an act of some sort or another; and numerous ,Christmas, Carols were sung. To add to the oc- casion the High School Band. played some selections. selections. On behalf of the High School I would like to extend to . everyone a Very Merry.Christmas; 'and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
