Is Silver Bells •
(BY JOHN BRADLEY)
. The 'ChristmasDance 'of Luck-
now District High. School was held
this past Friday night, and from.
all reports it seems to : have been
quite successful. ' Many of the
students turned out for this dance
which is the second largest dance
•of :the school year nextto the
Spring PrOm. .
Perhaps the success of this
dance should be forwarded . to the
Grade Eleven Students who Man-
aged" the ''Dance and decorated
for the occasion. The., appropriate
theme "Silver Bells," was. well
carried out, and the "decorators"
should be " highly ' praised for . the
great job they did. ' .
•
On entering the school one saw
a : beautifully , decorated tree ad-
orned with bright bine lights, end
tinsel. Dancing was to . Carruth-
ers' Orchestra under a huge "Sil-
ver Bell". which was 'hung+ from the
ceiling , aft, the gymnasium, . Small-
er *but similar 'bells were also
placed throughout the gym, and
blue streamers added ' to the
beauty of ' the "Dance Hall." .A
great deal of work went into this
Dance but, the:'teeults which -were
e
achieved added . up for the, long
hours :of preparation.
Also on Tuesday a Christmas
Assembly ' was held. Each, grade
presented .. an act of some sort or
another; and numerous ,Christmas,
Carols were sung. To add to the oc-
casion the High School Band.
played some selections.
selections.
On behalf of the High School I
would like to extend to . everyone
a Very Merry.Christmas; 'and a
Happy and Prosperous New Year.
