Jack Ackert stated he would
not stand for reelection and : said
a . councillor's 'task : was not an
easy one_ He thought the culvert
being put in at Lot 3, Con. 3, 4
at a cost of over $5,000 was a
'worthwhile saving compared with
installing.. a concrete structure for
$13,000: He . mentioned. it took 6
months of negotiations for the
necessary approval. When ques-
tioned asto the capacity,• he stat-
ed' it would ` equal that of t
proposed concrete structure. He
thanked the Board and officials
for their co-operation during his
terns in office.
William Evans was undecided as
to standing for Reeve or Coon -
calor. He mentioned that •. the road
north of Langside between Con..
6 and 7 was completed this, year.
Ile said . it had .costa great deal
of money. He thought we might
have done stone work at White -
'church. •
Edbert Bushell did not attend
the ' meeting but in a letter read
by the Berk, regretted • owing to
other commitments ` must decline
the opportunity to stand. He deem-
ed it . a pleasure and honour to
ser `e on the • Board• and thanked
all for their co-operation and sup-
" port he had reed ed in the past.
