On Wednesday. afternoon White-
church Women's Institute held a
progressive .euchre ' party in the
Whitechurch community memorial
hall, There were ,10. tables in play,
.Urs, Frank Ross gave the open-
ing instructions. Winner. of : the
pink card was Mrs,. Higgins, Bel -
grave. The Winner of the white
card was Mrs. Annie Could, Bel
grave, and the lucky draw prize
went to Mrs. Anne a Henry, Wing
ham. Lunch was: served and a
social time .enjoyed by all,'

On Friday evening at Langside
church . a pot luck 'supper was
held by the congregation. Each.
Sunday school class gave a num-
ber . on the programme and Lloyd
Ackert showed slides . and gave a
commentary of his trip.- with the
Kinloss Boy Scouts to Washing-
ton. Seals and certificates' for at
tendance andwork. done was pre-
sented to the. Sunday School schol-
ars: •

Recently the, kitchen in the Un-
ited Church received a ' coat of
paint by the ladies ' of the church.
The .walls are painted green, • the.
cupboards dusty rose, ceiling• and.
counter . top: yellow. These, colours
make a bright kitchen.,
