Organize For Year
Ripley
Curling Club held its
annual meeting at .the club room,
recently, Election of officers. saw
Don McLay returned as president,
as. e were Don MacTavisb, vice-
president; Lloyd Wylds, secre-
tary and Walter Loc , r as ttrelts-
urer. Mel Dahmer was elected
to the executive committee as
were Harry Scott, Howard Hodge
and Clayton Nicholson. Convenors
of the Property and Finance Com-
mittees remain the same, Clay-
ton Nicholson and Carl Funsten.
The Draw Committee for the
new season will be composed of
John D. MacKay, convenor; Gor
don • • Roulston, Elmer Courtney,
Murray Culbert, Jack ' Scott and
Wallace Pollock. , ,u .
Last season's bonspiel commit-
tee
ommittee for the men's club returned
by acclamation, Bill Elliott,, Leroy,
Walden and Jack Elliott. Lady
representatives are Doris John-
ston, Anna .MacTavlsh and Joyce
Courtney. .
Walter Lock and Carl Funston
outlined the financial pictureand
showed club •finances . to be in
fine shape. Presidents Don Mc-
Lay and Gladys Funston review-
ed events of the past season and
thanked. members . for . their sup
port.

Highlight of the meeting was
the fine curling film • "From track.
to House" which was enjoyed by
all present.
A tasty lunch, served : ` by the
ladies concluded the evening.
