The bride is a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. David E; Weiser, Mt.
Forest andthe groom is a son of.

Given in marriage by her father,
the ".bride wore a formal . gown of
white peau de soie ' styled with a
fitted . bodice ' with a round neck-
line and topped by a jacket feat-
uring appliqued roses with seed
pearls: The rose applique was re-
peated on the front of . the A-line
skirt which fell• into., a train. Her•
tiered veil . of tulle was held • in.
place by a headpiece of organza
roses and seed pearls and, she
carried a white prayer book on
which was a pink orchid with a
stephanotis cascade.
Miss Marlene Weiser, . sister of
the bride,' was maid of 'honour
and the bridesmaids • were her sis-
ters, Misses Linda and Bernice.
Weiser: They wore identical gowns
of pale blue peau de .soie with
tight -fitting bodices and .:street-
length • bell shaped. skirts. Their
headpieces were blue roses on tulle,
colour matching their dresses, and.
they carried cascaded blue : and

of the' Huron County Historical
Society : at the Colborne Township
Hall at Carlow on October l6th at
8 p.m.
The guest speaker, Professor
James R. Scott, executive ' assist-
ant to the President ' of the Uni-
versity of Waterloo, who is pres
ently writing a book on the history
of . Huron County will address , the
meeting. He will give some val-,
uable information on the life' in
this county in the early 1800's. Sev-
eral meetings have been : held by
the Executive and .Council Mem-
bers ' to draw up the proposed con-
stitution and by-laws which will
be ' presented to the members next
month.
The projects committee .with 'the
convenor, Mrs. Tait Clark are : ; :
working on :several projects; and
aim to. prepare an: annual year
book. They are collecting .'book-
lets on church and one -room
school histories which have been
ii
printed: and if •any o�e' has some
of these local histories, the com-
mittee would like them to assist
them in ..gathering this data. This
committee would like 'a copy of
the book; In the days of the Can-
ada company by Lazars ' .Sisters
and a Huron County Atlas: There,.
