Amberley Shower For Bride -Elect.

A. community shower was held
in Pine River church Sunday
.school room On Thursday even-
ing of last week for Miss Elaine
Irwin,' bride -elect Mrs. Delbert
Wilson was chairlady for the pro-
gramme which opened with piano,
music by. Mrs. Roy McKenzie of
Ripley, who; was also accenipan-
ist 'for a 'sing -song. Mrs. Eldon
Bradley gave, a humorous reading
.which was • followed with a: piano'
number Irwin, A duet
by Mrs. ' Dan MacDonald' a d Mrs.
Ernie Gibson .was . accompanied
. by Miss. Gayle Boyd, Two songs
by Anne Ferguson, Shirley Reid,
Brenda Humphrey, ' and Brenda
Henry were accompanied by El-
eanor Emmerton; An interesting
contest was •:given by Mrs. John
Scott and ,was followed with a
humorous reading by Mrs. Sam
Snobelen ' who also • read an ad-
dress to the bride expressing best
wishes for future 'happiness. Mrs.

picnic in 'No. 1 school grounds.
Races' and games were conducted
by . Mrs Gordon Emmerton and
Mrs. Chester. Emmerton, after '
which lunch was served.

of 'Weston visited at the week-
end with Mr. and ' Mrs. Arthur
Smeltzer and family.
Mrs. John Blue was a recent
