Women's Institute was held at the

June was a month ' of very
changeable .temperatures varying
from frost to . a .high of closeto

Officially the, high temperature
was 98 degrees and. the low was
34 degrees. ; Alongwith this ex-
treme of heat and :cold .were some.

There was a scant 1.53 inches of
rain and• the "drought" is now
being felt and seen. '
The June • drought was broken
by an all -day "million dollar rain
on Wednesday of, last week.

mers . Presbyterian Church and
baptized Dick Gerard, infant ' son
of •Mr. and Mrs.. Jacob Kuiper
Rev. Waite will . be the preacher
for the next. two ., Sundays while
Mr. Kuiper' ` is on : holidays.

REMAINED CONSTANT .:IN ONT.
During the past threemonths,
the number of recorded rabies
cases in.. Ontario, . •had 'remained .
fairly constant-' In, March there
were 52 cases, ,April: 60 cases, and
May 47 cases. Most ,all of these
