CHRISTOPHER CLARK
Christopher Clark, a ` nonagen-
arian who had made : his. home
lin this communityfor the past
six years with his son Arthur. and
Mrs.'. Clark, passed away in Wing -
ham hospital early Monday. morn-
ing, .tune 1st. -
Hehad observed- his 95th birth-
day on. Apiri' 3rd of this year.
Born in : London, ' England, Mr.
Clark had been a carpenter. for
.seventy years until. retiring five
years ago. Much of his ; life; had
been spent at ' Burks Falls.
His wife was a native.. of Strath-
roy where they were . married in
1910. ' Her death occurred .some.
twenty-five years ago.
Mr. . Clark ./ had been in failing
health for some time and had
been hospitalized continually' for
the ‘past nine •months by a ,ling-
ering '' illness, from .which he suf-

The funeral, service was ' con-
ducted by `Rev. Neil' McCombie;.
of Ripley at • the MacKenzie Mem-
orial Chapel on Wednesday, June.
3rd. Interment was in South Kin-
loss cemetery, the pallbearers be-
ing :George Fisher, Harry ";Wall,:
Ivan Conley, Nat Thompson, Har-
old Howald, Vernon Marriott.
Mr. Clark is survived by ' one
daughter, Mrs. Kenneth. Webster
(June). of .London- and five sons,
Arthur of Lucknow, Edward of
Alberta, :.Herbert''. of Fern Glen,
Ontario, Jack of London and 'Clar-
ence of . Angus, : Ontario, " and : a
brother Edward Clark of Burks.
