OBITUARY
NELSON .ROY HUDSON
The funeral service of Nelson
Roy Hudson, 66, who . died sud-
denly • at Alexandra Hospital. on
Saturday, May l6th, ,. was held.
Monday afternoon at , Stiles. fun-
eral home, Goderich. Rev. G. L.
Royal conducted the service .and
intermentwas. in Greenhill, ceme
tery, Lucknow, ' The pallbearers'
•were Wm. C,hase, George Rob-
erfson, Brent Nelson, all of God-
erich,. J. Jutzi of Wingham; Lloyd
Irwin of Lucknow and James
Brocklebank of Kincardine, -
A nativeof this community,
Roy ° wasthe son 'of the late
Wesley Isaac Hudson and - Grace
Ann Gilroy and, was born at Con-
cession 2, Kinloss on September
8, 1897, Roy was well and fav-
orably known by manyhere. and.
was of a genial nature. For a
time as, a young man he was
employed as a salesman by W. i
L.- MacKenzie.
In . `October of 1929 he was mar-
ried at 'Stratford to Emma Peq
uegnat, whosurvives him.• Other
survivors are two daughters, Mrs..
George .(Grace) .Jutzi of Brussels
and Mrs. Edwin (Florence). •Nei -
ion of . Cranbrook, Ontario,:. and*
one •son, 'John of Toronto. In ad-
dition to ten grandchildren there
are two sisters, Mrs. Will (Stella).
Irwin of Lucknow • and lira. Wes-'
ley '(Grata), Alton ofondon
He resided in Stratford for six
.years, in Wingham foreight years
and has since been living in God

talion. Mr Hudson's occupation

THOMAS MacDONALD
Death came'' • suddenly on Sat-
urday, May 16th to Thomas Mac-
Donald at Kineardine ' .Hospital,
where. he. had been hospitalized
quite briefly..
Mr: MacDonald was in his 84th,
year, • and had been a life-
long and ; highly . esteemed res-
ident of Ashfield Township, in•the.
Lochalsh-Amberley district,: where
he was born on April 5th,:1881.
Mr MacDonald was;one.' of a
family of nine children.: born to
Mr. and Mrs: Finlay MacDonald,
pioneer residents of Ashfield. His.
father was born' in Scotland/ and
his mother, the 'former. Sarah
Halliday was born n Prince Ed-
ward Island:. ,
On June 21,' 1911, Mr. MacDon-
ald married Sara A.MacCharles,
the wedding taking place at the
home of the bride's ' parents, Mr.
and . Mrs. John MacCharles, Con-
cession 2, Huron Township. Mr.
and Mrs. MacDonald spent all
their married 'life on their'''Ash
field Township farm, where they
celebrated their ' golden wedding
just short of.three . years ago.
Mr.MacDonald's remains rest-
ed at his home where many.
called, to .pay their respects and
extend ;•their sympathy.
The funeral service 'on Monday,
May 18th, was held . at Ashfield:
Presbyterian Church ' where Mr.
MacDonald •• had throughout' his
life been' a faithful and .devoted
member. The service was condu

ist. '
Interment was in. Kintail Ceme-
