Choir .Concert
The Dominion Life Choir of
Waterloo presented a most enjoy-
able "Evening sof Music" in the
Lucknow, District High School on
Friday evening. A. warm summer
like evening was not conducive to
a large crowd, and those who
didn't hear the concert missed a
musical treat. •
The choir was under the ,direc-
tion of • Conductor• Donald Landry,:
With Ada B. Eby as accompan-
ist. The group, which includes
Mary Lou Collinson of Kintail,
who • has a • secretarial position
with Dominion Life, are practically
all personnel df— thiCompany
and hold weekly rehearsals. They
travel widely in . presenting their
concert.
The concert opened with selec-
tions from Brigadoon, and .:other
well known numbers for example.

ing celebrated this Sunday, May
31 with services at 11 a.m. and
8 p.m. conducted by Rev. Angus
McKay. Invitations' have been ;sent.

and to South Kinloss,, Langside
and United Church congregations,
Lunch' will be served at 1. p,m.

Held World -Mission
Service At Ripley
A capacity congregation filled St
Paul's Anglican Church, Ripley,
Sunday evening when the Rev. R.
A. Joselyn was the guest preacher.
Mr. Joselyn, : who . was rector of
this parish from 1945 to 1948, gave
an inspiring address on the real
mission of the church to the world.
The service was" termed a "World
Mission 'Service" in place of : an
'Anniversary Service,' thus re-
moving the emphasis from • the lo-
cal parish 'to', . the world-wide
church.
Mrs. W. C. Lock was choir dir-
ector, and the 'lessons were read
by Tom Culbert and : Bob Lock.,
The Rector, Rev. J. R. Xing ` con-
ducted the service. Refreshments
were served by the women of the
church following the service.
