Saturday .in: his 84th year. The fun-
eral service Was held at . Ashfield,
Presbyterian Church, on Monday
with interment in,Kintail. Cemetery.
Death came to another Ashfield
native m. Kincardine Hospital on
May 13th,',in the person of Thomas
W. Kempton in his 78th year.
Born in Ashfield ' Township,', he
;had been a resident of Ripley since
1921.
The funeral service was held at
the McLennan 'Funeral Home on.
Friday withinterment in . Ripley

Toronto Fgmly Is
Seriously Injured
In Sunday Crash ;
Three members of a Toronto
family, spending ;a week -end at
Lake Huron, mere seriously in-
jured in a Sunday night :accident.
about 9:30' p.m. four miles 'west
of Lucknow on Highway 86. The
other three passengers in the car
were not; -seriously:. injured and
the lone driver of the second d :car
also escaped ; injury.'
George Koczka of 19 ' Normandy
Blvd. in /Toronto was proceeding
east on . Highway 86 and Elliott
Carruthers of Ripley was '. coming
onto Highway 86 from .'thefarm
lane of :. Jim Hamilton. when the
two cars were in collision.,
Koczka, 39, suffered severe
chest injuries and head lacera-
tions and was in serous condition
at time of writing Tuesday. His
wife; Marion, 36, and , daughter
Karen 9 both .suffered fractured
jaws - and had their teeth, badly
broken, along withmultiple cuts
and bruises. Mrs. Koczka was also
suffering from shock ..and, was in
serious condition. Another son
Dennis, 12, also received cuts and
bruises and was ,rnlcased f-mn

Koczka and daughter were .re-
moved: to Toronto East Genera.t
Hospital. Two other .passengers in
the ear, Mrs. Margaret 'Mitchell.
