Contest Planned
The Bruce •County Historical, So-
ciety is sponsoring a competition
for' Canada's Centennial. Year and
hope: not only to .arouse interest
in 'the society 'but to preserve part
.of* the 'county's history, '

A for Bruce Pioneer Family ' his-

stories dating. back, in Bruce, at
least . twenty-five years, .prior to
1967.

turned over to ' the society. is Oc-
tober 1, 1966 and considering the
' amount of work involved,. anyone

tail Women's Institute was held

day, May .7th with the, president,

had resided. with Mr. and Mrs,
'George Graham since corning froth..
the hospital; following ..a :hip:: frac-
ture in January of last year and
is now • with Mr. and- Mrs.. Albert,
Young. Mrs. Graham (Belle) and.
Mrs;, Young • (Kelso) are daugh-
ters.' Shealso has, five sons: Wal-
lace, Russell, Linwood,' Dean and
John. Although being mostly bed-,
fast, :she is in fair health and was
visited • by her family and friends
on ' the happy ;.occasion. ' Messages

The May meeting of the H.W.I.
was. , held on . Thursday .afternoon
at the hall with Mrs: Perry Hod-
gins and Mrs. Raynard Ackert
hostesses. •:Mrs. Alex. Percy pre-

the Mary Stewart • collect was re-
peated in unison. The new officers
were installed by Mrs. P. A. Mur
ray. Mrs. Lyman. Sutton read : the
