At Peel County music ' festival
held April 29 at Brampton,'eleven
year-old Colleen Farrier of Long
Branch was, awarded 89 marks for
piano sight reading 'in. ' under ° 15
class.A She won 7 gold medals, :5
silvermedals and 2 "bronze med-
als,. a total of . 14 :"medals which
won for her the title ' of Queen
of Peel. Festival and she . also won
a junior piano scholarship,
• She and her brother Brian; 12,.
were awarded 88 marks and a
gold medal for the piano duet
class. Brian also came first in a
piano ear test . with 80 marks
wh h won for him a silver', medal:.
Brian won '3 gold medals and • 3
silver medals '2' bronze medials,,,
a total ,of 8.• ,medals: Colleen and
Brian are the daughter and son
of Mr. and Mrs. Carman. Farrier
