Thomas H. Burns passed, away
in Walkerton General •Hospital •'on.•
Tuesday,' April 21st: He. would
have 'been '• 96 years of age May •"
2nd. •
Mrs., Burns predeceased him in
August of last year, She, was'95
on . May '26th of last year.. On
June 2nd of last year Mr. and
Mrs. Burns observed their, , 66th
wedding anniversary.
Mr. 'Burns was the son of the
late Thomas and Harriet `Burns
and was . born on . Con. 10, Huron
Township on May 2nd, 1868. He ,
came ".:to Lucknow as a lad sof . .
five 'years, and had spent all his
life in the Village • until he' and
'Mrs. Burns . took up •residence at
Brucelea Haven.
He suffered ,ia 'hip fracture a
few .weeks ago, and '. at his ad-:'
wanted .'age was a • contributing.'
factor in his death.
For 52 years Mr. .Burrs ;wase
a faithful employee of the ..Luck -
now ` Table Company as a cab-
inet maker and machinist, , and
despite long industrial hours of •
his day, found time to 'Work a

Mr. and Mrs. Burns • were an
industrious, hospitable and -•exem-
?platy couple,and widespread was
the esteem . and respect which
this . beloved .:couple were held.;
Both their lives were :marked by
devotion .to and :faithful service
in their ..church
'Mrs. Burns was •the , ;former
Mary . ;Ann Beaton,;-' daughter : of
Mr. and ors. Angus Beaton of
Paramount, where Mr. and Mrs.
Burns were married on June 2nd,
1897.

at the MacKenzie' :Memorial' Chap-
el on Friday. Interment was in
Greenhill Cemetery, the pallbear-
