by Mrs.' Duncan Thorburn. The
theme of the meeting, was. "Chris-
tian Witness Unlimited." A per-
iod, of ' Bible : Study conducted by
Mrs. Percy, Chalmers of Niagara
Falls.. was one of the'. highlights
of, the meeting lit which members
of the various units took part.
The ' history of hymns usedat
the service was also : informative.
Mrs. John Ferguson was convener
for • the program: A prayer was
followed ..with responsive reading
from . Psalm ` 747. The scripture
reading was given. by: Mrs.:Clifton
Geddes and: meditations by Mrs.
John Ferguson. Mrs. Eldon Brad-
ley and Mrs.. J. Ferguson gave
readings. The Study Book • was
capably_. given by Mrs. •Mervyn
Hooey .who spoke of . the deplor-
able living conditions in India,
and . the large population which
makes :it 'difficult for leaders of
the country : and for missionaries
to carry on their work. Lunch was
served ' by the co nmittee • in
charge and a social, half • hour,
was enjoyed. •MrS, Clifton Geddes
who is leaving shot tly for their
new home • in Kincardine, ,was
presented with a. gift from the
U.C.W.in appreciation . of her
work in the U.C.W., the choir,
and on the work: committee. Mrs.
Geddes thanked themembers and
invited all to visit them in their
new home. ,
Sympathy is extended to' Mrs:
John A. ,Campbell and family in
the passing. of Mr: Campbell who
was ill .for the past two years. As
well as in 'his. home life ' Mr.
Campbell will be remembered
kindly by the children of the corn=
munity where he lived and - in
whom he had a keen interest.

tives In London

entertained relatives and friends

a turkey dinner 'at the Knotty
