public. Schools Act and the new

These amendments' are not yet
law, but .it is assumed they •will
shortly be enacted, and in effect.

890 of these are for graduate

wheels, Leroy suffered a badly

The youngster was rushed to
Wingham. hospital and then on to
Sick Children's Hospital in . Lon-
don. His condition is steadily im-
proving but there is no word yet

• The Drennan family had the
misfortune : to lose their home by
fire two years ago last Christmas.

QUARTETTE HAD SOUND
EFFECTS "WELL TIMED"
The timing of ,the sound ef-
fects was perfect last week as
a local quartette was . enter-
taining at ' the Royal Arch
Masons' euchre party.
Raynard Ackert, Elwin Hall,
Norman ; Taylor and Finlay
MacDonald, were giving out'
with an excellentrendition'. of
Bill . Grogan's goat and had,
reached the .point where "the
whistle blew" and it did.
