Hospital on : Thursday, April " 2nd:
He was 79 years of age.•
Mr. Snowden was a native; of
Mona Township in: Dufferin•Coun
ty and Was a' son of the late
John. Snowden and Martha Hen
ry, .On 'December 24th; 1913; he
marled ' Augusta,,, (Gussie) ' Ifaines
Of East Wawanosh. Vownship, Mrs.
Snowden predeceased =him in 1954.
Mr: Snowden took over the .Haines
farm on. the division line between
West. and: • East Wawanosh. : Town-
ships in February of 1929.. He.
farmed all WS life. Since the death
of his • wife; he ,: has made his
home• with; his son Ernest . and
family: and for the past five •,years
has been confined. ' to a wheel-
chair. His death, however, came
as a surprise to his family who:
had. noted improvement in his;
condition in recent months, . .
Mr, Snowden was a member of
the United Church at his native
Laurel.:, He attended Donnybrook
United 'Church.. He was a 'mem-
ber of Laurel •LOL . 330 and mem
'hers ,of...Belgrave LOL 442 Conduc-
ted a' service at. the ,,Currie Fun-
eral Home ' in Winghaixt on—Fri-
day,

Funeralservice was held' Sat-
urday, • April' 4th at two .o'clock
with Rev. C.. W. Lewis .of Donny-
brook officiating. Burial was, in

Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon.. Struthers.
of West. Wawanosh were honored
on Saturday on the occasion, of
their : 25th wedding anniversary,
at a gathering . planned by their
family.
An anniversary turkey dinner
was served at the Log Cabin Rest-
aurant, .with • some twenty-five re-
latives • and friends : in attendance,.
including guests ° f r o m Acton,
Wingham and Goderich.
Following the delicious repast,
the party gathered at the home
of Mr. and ,Mrs;,' George Swan
for a pleasant' social evening. Mr.
and Mrs. Struthers .received 'many
lovely gifts in addition to : many
other . expressions of congratula-
tions and best wishes. :
