ThursdayEvening
The induction of Rev. J. R. King
into the Parish of Lucknow, con-
sisting of the congregations of
Lucknow, Dungannon, Port Albert
and Ripley, will be held at Christ
Church, Port. Albert on Thursday
evening of . this week at 8:30.
The 'induction service will :)e
conducted by the Rt. Reverend
•
H. F. Appleyard, Bishop of Geor-
gian Bay. The guest preacher will
be his brother, Canon R. T. Ap-
pleyard of. Preston, ,who was :rec-
tor at Rev. King's home church,
when he decided to enter the min
Mr: King was appointed to the
Lucknow Parish about a year and
a half ago, while a student min-
ister. A, graduate of Seager Hall,
Rev.. Mr. King was ordained on
November : 30th . at Bishop Cronyn
Memorial .Church, Load" by At,
Rev, GR N, Luxton, Bishop of
Huron.
Besides officiating Anglican,
clergyman, United and PI
terian clergy will participate in
Thursday night's induction at
which all are welcome.

I. Death came to William Austin
Solomon of Lucknow in Wingham
hospital, on Friday, April 10that
the age of 81, The funeral service
was on Monday at the MacKen-
zie Memorial Chapel with inter-
ment in Greenhill , cemetery.
Also on Friday, in. Wingham
Hospital, the. death occurred of
Mrs. Harold Tanner. of Lucknow
at the age of 55. The funeral ser-
vice was held •on,Monday at' the
Johnstone Funeral Home, Luck -
now with interment in Tara came

ney Vanderwoude, son of Mr. and

ners "Dairy Queens" was held on
March 31. Mrs.' Finlay McLeod of
Ripley conducted. a tour of Pine

interesting and informative for the
members of the. club. 'Later they
held the business portion of their
meeting at the home of Carol El-
liott. Mrs; Reg Godfrey and Mrs.
•Gordon ` Emmerton demonstrated
how . to make : lemon chiffon des-
sert which was served afterwards.
On. April 7th the Reids Corners
"Dairy Queens" held their seventh
and last meeting at the home , of
Mrs. Reg: Godfrey where pan
cakes were made by the girls and
enjoyed for lunch The leaders of
