behalf of the choir' to Mary Ellen
Shiells who was organist at Pine
River United Church for three
years... Plans for organizing the
choir were.. discussed afterwards.

community hall for their 'March
meeting: Mrs. Cecil' Holland . pre-,
sided and .Mrs,Eelvin Henderson
acted as secretary -treasurer. After'
' the opening ode and Mary: Stewart
collect, the roll call was: respond-
ed to with ,an Irish joke and pay-
ment of, 'fees. Reports from .the
standing 6 committees • were given
and election of officers followed:

ed the' installation of'officers for

clerk were well explained by. Mrs.

It was depided to donate money
for prizes at Ripley and Kincardine
fairs. Reids Corners will join Ber-
vie in the course on making drapes.

display .of various craftg was reg.
quested from each institute. An oil
painting by. Mrs. W. J. Courtney
Was . donated which depicted St.,
Lukes Anglican Church Pine River.
Mrs. Cecil Holland was named al-
ternate' delegate to the convention
at Wolfville Nova ScOtia. After the

Mrs. Walter Forster acted . as
hostess • for the annual meeting
of Purple Grove Women's Insti-
tute. The meeting was in charge'
of Mrs. George Harkness ' a n d
Mrs. Morford •Mackay. • When .the
members were asked to answer
the. roll call by showing a sample
of their hobby and explaining
it, it..was revealed, that everydne
has some special interest ranging
from quilt - making, crocketing,
knitting, tatting, embroidery, rug
making,. painting pictures, needle-
point, coin collecting,, rake knit-
ting, and compilhig 'scrap books
and family histories:
