terian Church 'in Canada; meet in,
Montreal on May 8th, 9th and 10th
of this year,, they will be celebrat-
ing 100 years of organized Presby„
terian Women's Work' in Canada
and the .50th anniversary .,of the.
aniaigamation of the . three Mis-
sionary Societies; within'the church.-
To
hurch.To celebrate this double" anniver-
sary, the women of the church . un-
dertook the following speeia f inan-'
cial projects $18,000 for Fellow-
ship House in-. Winnipeg, ., 'Man.;
$10,000 towards' a Nurses' Resid-
ence in..Jobat, India,.$7,500, •for ' a
Christian . Education: building in
Taipei, Formosa; $2,500 for the
Hsin• Chu :Bible School in Formosa.
Each of these has been . oversub-
scribed. .

In addition: . to this, women.
throughout„ the Church entered
their names in a special Book of
Remembrance.. This ,book has now
reached 7 volumes.—one'.,for each
Synodical . of the •Society. -- and
$24,259 has been raised td. defray
the 'expenses of the celebrations.
The' seven :covers, for these volumes
are hand -tooled leather and are the
handiwork. of Miss Hazell Davis, .a
deaconess working in the Presby-
tery

Nearly all of the National staff
will `be present at . the celebrations,
representing' every area ofwork in
Canada and. Overseas. Missionaries

especially to live the three main
theme . addresses on . "The World

Lennox, of Vancouver, will attend
the opening ceremonies on Friday

. Two children's choirs, from the
Indian. Residential Schools at Ken -
ora, Ontario, and Birtle, Man , wih•'
perform during special mealtime
programmes, and a dramatic pag-
eant high -light,: 100 years of history
is . being .produced by Miss Laura
Pelton; , former Director of Over-
seas Missions, and, long --time- staff
