but following their marriage took

farm" • near Lanesville where they
farmed until. retiring to 'Lucknow
8' years ago.
It was on Wednesday, April 8th;
at the home of the bride's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Johnston Roulston
. 'Con.: 2, Huron Township, that . the
wedding ceremony, was 'performed
by Rev -A.. R. Kellam, of Olivet
Church, assisted by the ' bride's

At open house: on Saturday, Mrs.
Harry Street of Kincardine and
Miss Marion Solomon of Stratford
poured tea, •Miss Solomon was
flower girl at • their. `wedding..
In the evening, close neighbours,
Mrs. Jean Jardine and Mrs. John
Wraith poured tea. Assisting with
the serving were, two daughters,
Mrs. Wilmer ' Harlton of St. Marys,.
Mrs. Victor Kannapin of Kitchen-
er three granddaughters, ,Mary
Helen Harlton, Loree Catnpbell,
Marilyn Kannapin; and Mrs. Bert,
Gammie of Lucknow.

Mrs, Boss Gammie, assisted by

who was somewhat :incapacitated
as the result of .injuries suffered hi
a motor' accident.

' Mrs. Campbell is the former
Mamie Roulston, :daughter of the
late -Johnston Roulston and Mary
Helm. Mr. Campbell is an only son
of the late Henry. Campbell and
Annie Stirling. ,

All; were present for the anniver-
sary party but,' Harry who visited
here for a- month last fall,.. and
sent, a ' lovely .banquet for the an-
niversary. Flowers were . also re-
ceived from Mrs. Edward Burgess.
of. Calgary, the foriner Fern Alton,
daughter . of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Charles ''(Edith) Alton,' who was'
,Mr. Campbell'sonly sister.. .
Mrs. Campbell has ;two •sisters
and four brothers who were ' pre-
sent, Mrs. R. H. Solomon (Jen-
nie) • of Stratford, Mrs.' Wm.. Bor-
den (Annie) of Stratford, Wm. • and
Walter Roulston of Huron Town-
ship, Cliff of Stratford and Rev.
Edgar Roulston of Mitchell. A
brother, Percy . Reulston, has pass-
ed on. •There are ..ten grandchild-
ren. , . .

left school't the age of : nine.

Canadians t he met during the

think .of g Canada his home...
He admired, the Canadians as sol-
diers and 'ends; Following the
Boer. war kept heating more
about, - Canada . and' m :1914 ;de-
cided to investigate this ; land..

held their organization meeting on

"Some: of ' them didn't like ' me,

George recalled with : a chuckle
when. commenting -on the first. war
experiences. In 1918 he .was at the
front and was wounded at - Val-,
lancey, 'France.. Following his re=
turn. from overseas, George's first.

Following the first War a bro-
ther of . Georges came , to Can-
ada.' His intentions were : the
same; tit. scout the country and
if he. liked it, to bring his ' wife
and family out to live . here: 'After/
a visit in Lucknow he went ' west.
He mysteriously disappeared and
has 'never been heardfrom, since.
He was traced to a train. from
Winnipeg , tcr Montreal but the trail,
vanished here and his *ife and
family never heard from :him.;
again .
ggr. Taylor married twice, his
second wife having passed away
several -years ago. To the second
marriage was born a . daughter,,
Mrs. Garnet (Evelyn) Henderson
of Lucknow and a son George
Jr. of the RCAF at Falconbridge.
George was employed at . An-
erson Flax Products for 21 years
and served as 'engineer there for
about eight years.: He later. serv-
ed as caretaker of the Bell- Tele
phone. office in Lucknow„. He has
lived in his home on Havelock
St. South, just north of `the Flax
